Not much has been happening around here, except for the fact that I was given medicine that I'm allergic to, isn't that funny? There was a good chance I would have a reaction to it so my mom wouldn't let me have the pills, which is fine with me, but my throat stills hurts! My tonsils have been swollen since mid March. They were really red and hurting for about 2 weeks. Then the pain went away, but my tonsils haven't receeded in size yet. The pain came back on July 4th, so I went to the doctor and got medicine I'm allergic to. See my insurance company sucks and won't pay for me to get one of the few medicines I can actually take, so somehow I got this crap that has penicilin in it. The doctor said he wanted to see if a certain medicine would work, the one that the insurance wouldn't pay for. If it didn't work he would arrange to have my tonsils removed. He said it was hard to remove a 16 year old's tonsils because of the age and that they get soar throats for almost 3 weeks after the removal. I wouldn't mind if it ment that there would be less pain in the future. My mom is calling the doctor tomorrow to explain how I got the wrong medicine, she's going to try to convince him that taking my tonsils would be easier. I actually want them out, only becasue I've never been to the hospital for me, like I haven't broken any bones, or needed any surgery.

Stacey called me today, she's excited about her upcoming term. Even thoguh Steph's just began, it'll go by quickly. At least that's what everyone says, that is comes and goes. Stacey has soo much planned out and has a lot of really great ideas. I know she'll do an awesome job. She just fears that someone will try to take over and turn her ideas into something they're not and have her term ruined. There is a good justification to her fears, which is perfectly understandable, especailly after she gave examples of this person changing another's ideas and making this other person do things she did not wish to do. I know Stacey will do the best she can, and that she won't let anyone take her term and turn it into their own. But there is a problem, the person she is suppose to go to, to plan her term with, is the person she fears will change and/or turn down her ideas. Stacey is strong headed, knows what is best for the assembly, and has a deep love of rainbow. To me, these characteristics will make her a great leader. I have no fears that her term will be stolen, she has the strength to hold tight and protect her 6 months, which she has earned.

Tomorrow I go to pick up my check and find out which days I work this week. I already know though, Friday from 4-8:30 and then  on Sunday from 11-8:30. That's what it's been for I think 3 weeks now. That isn't too bad actually. Not too much work, about $110 a week and I only have to work 2 days a week! Nice set up. I'm going to go do something, maybe finish reading Velocity by Dean Koonzt. It's actually a really good book. I still have to read Grapes of Wrath. I'll start looking for the book tomorrow. The teachers for English 11 honors said it'd be easier to have our won copy, so we could high light and such.
